We hope you all had a great holiday season. We had a great 2008, and look forward to a
fantastic 2009. Our Utah LBC had their
annual meeting in December of 2008, where we also had our voting for the LBC
board members. Below is a list of who

We would like to extend a sincere appreciation to Mark
Montoya for the work he has done as our past J.O. Chairman. And we would like to welcome Dave Foley on
the board and know Dave will do a great job in his new role.
This coming year has some great opportunities for all of us
to contribute in amateur boxing here in Utah. As most of you know, Utah
will be hosting the 2009 Golden Gloves National Tournament of Champions, May
4-9 at the Salt Palace. Utah
has not hosted this event in over 41 years.
This will take a combined effort of everybody to make this a great
event. We invite everybody and anybody
to get involved, as we will need everybody who can volunteer in some
matter. So tell your boxers, even if
they are not boxing in this event, they can be a part of it in some way. If
you know of anybody interested in being a sponsor or making a donation, they

We would also like to thank Amy and Damien Bressler for the
work they have done to create us a web site for our amateur boxing community to
stay in touch with what is going on.

participation, as amateur boxing could not go on without your great work you do
for these kids, which is really what this organization is about.
